English 10 (Online)

Welcome to English 10

*Please note - English 10 is a provincially examinable course.

English 10 is a completely online course. The only items shipped to the student, after they have completed the 5% requirement (see below) is a provincial exam preparation package, an annotated version of Romeo and Juliet, and the novel "Animal Farm" if they have indicated it as their choice on the Course Activation Assignment.

The course is divded into three Modules: Writing and Comprehension; Romeo and Juliet; and a Novel Study. Most assignments are project based, and offer lots of choice as to how the student will present their learning. The teacher will work closely with and support the student throughout the course.

5% requirement: Due to changes in government funding requirements for Distance Learning students, we have had to require students to complete an assignment worth 5% of the final course mark before they are considered enrolled, and their materials shipped out.
